The 2024/2025 FKF Premier League heads into round three this weekend, with seven matches scheduled across Saturday and Sunday.
Round two was filled with excitement, with Kariobangi Sharks‘ stunning comeback against Tusker FC standing out as the highlight. The Sharks hosted the Brewers at Dandora Stadium on Sunday, and after 30 minutes, they were down 2-0, courtesy of goals from Ryan Ogam and Charles Momanyi. At halftime, it seemed like Tusker FC would comfortably claim the win. However, the second half told a different story.
Keith Imbali sparked the comeback for William Muluya’s side with a well-taken goal in the 68th minute. New signing Ally Salum sealed the victory with a brace, scoring in the 82nd minute and again deep into stoppage time.
In a post-match interview, Salum credited the win to following the coach’s game plan and emphasized his mission to help the team secure victories in every game.
“I thank God for enabling me to help my team get all three points. The win came from sticking to the coach’s instructions,” said Salum. “I have a personal objective: I want to help my team win in every game. When I joined, the coach and I agreed that my job is to score goals.”
On the other hand, Tusker FC coach Charles Okere expressed disappointment, acknowledging his team’s missed opportunities.
“We have only ourselves to blame. We were leading 2-0 in the first half but allowed our opponents to come back and equalize. We had several chances to put the game out of Kariobangi Sharks’ reach but failed to capitalize. We’ll need to return to the drawing board and address this,” said Okere.
William Muluya, the Kariobangi Sharks‘ coach, praised his players and technical bench for their resilience, especially in his absence during the week.
“I want to congratulate the players for the comeback. Let’s also acknowledge that Ezekiel Seda and the technical bench did a fantastic job while I was away,” Muluya stated.

Match Day Three Broadcast Schedule
Azam TV will broadcast three matches this weekend while KBC Channel One continues its league blackout.
Posta Rangers vs KCB FC
Azam TV’s first broadcast will be the clash between Posta Rangers and KCB FC at Thika Stadium on Saturday, with a 1 pm kick-off.
Posta Rangers come into the fixture off a significant 1-0 win over AFC Leopards in round two, with Felix Oluoch scoring the decisive goal in the second half. KCB also enter the match after a 2-0 victory over Murang’a Seal at Sportpesa Arena, thanks to goals from Haniff Wesonga and Patrick Otieno. Otieno will face his former team, Posta Rangers, in this encounter.
Bidco United vs AFC Leopards
AFC Leopards will face Bidco United at 4 pm, completing the double-header at Thika Stadium. Leopards coach Tomas Trucha was dissatisfied with his team’s finishing in their previous game and is eager to see improvements in round three.
“We need to improve our finishing. We should have been up 2-1 or 3-1. We had many chances from free kicks and corners, and we need to use them better,” Trucha said.
Ingwe were boosted by new signing Ovella Ochieng, who reported to camp this week. The team hopes his experience will help them bounce back on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bidco United remains winless this season, with their last two games ending in 1-1 draws. However, they have maintained an unbeaten record against the AFC Leopards since December 2020, when they last lost 2-0.
