The FKF Premier League resumes this weekend, packed with an exciting lineup of fixtures after a brief pause for the FIFA international break. Here’s what fans can expect from the action across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:
Friday Matches – November 22
KCB FC vs. FC Talanta (1 PM, Dandora Stadium)
League leaders KCB FC, enjoying a brilliant run of form, will host FC Talanta at Dandora Stadium. KCB will aim to extend their dominance at the summit of the league, while FC Talanta, coached by Jackline Juma, will look to recover from a string of disappointing results and rediscover their winning formula.
Kariobangi Sharks vs. Kenya Police FC (4 PM, Dandora Stadium)
In the second match of the day, Kariobangi Sharks will face Kenya Police FC. Nairobi City Stars vs. Tusker FC (1 PM, Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos)*

They will aim to keep their momentum going against Tusker FC, who are coming off a 3-2 loss to KCB. The much-anticipated SportPesa Derby will see Murang’a Seal take on Shabana FC. Shabana are fresh off their first win of the season, a 1-0 victory over Kenya Police, and will look to secure back-to-back wins. Murang’a Seal, however, will aim to bounce back after a loss to Kakamega Homeboyz in their previous fixture.
Sunday Matches – November 24
Gor Mahia vs. AFC Leopards (4 PM, Venue TBD)
The weekend’s highlight is the Mashemeji Derby, where Gor Mahia face off against archrivals AFC Leopards. Both teams will be desperate for a win to pacify their fans after disappointing starts to the season. The venue remains in limbo, as AFC Leopards await clearance to host the match at Nyayo National Stadium.
Last season, Gor Mahia claimed bragging rights, winning both legs of the derby. Benson Omalla and Austin Odhiambo were key players in those victories. This time, Tomas Trucha’s AFC Leopards will seek redemption, aiming for their fourth win of the season, while Gor Mahia, now without Brazilian tactician Leo Martin Neiva, will hunt for their third win.
Ulinzi Stars vs. Bidco United (4 PM, Kinoru Stadium)
Ulinzi Stars will host Bidco United at Kinoru Stadium, with both teams seeking crucial points to boost their league campaigns.
Mara Sugar vs. Sofapaka FC (2 PM, Awendo Stadium)

Player Suspended this weekend
Several players and officials will miss this weekend’s matches due to suspensions, including Geoffrey Ochieng (Gor Mahia), Kevin Ouru (Posta Rangers), and Abud Omar (Kenya Police), Mara Sugar Head Coach George Midenyo will also be sidelined having picked up a red card in there 1 all draw against Afc Leopards.
Kakamega Homeboyz Venue Change:
Homeboyz will play their next two home matches at Sudi Stadium, as Mumias Sports Complex undergoes preparations for the KICOSCA Games.

Kenya Police and Mara Sugar Fire Technical Directors
Going into weekend matches FKF Premier League newbies Mara Sugar earlier this week announced they’ve parted ways with Ex International Bonface Ambani as the club’s technical director,the former Afc Leopards Cubs Head Coach has been a pivotal force in Mara’s promotion from Division 1 to the national super league and now the top flight.
Speaking on his unceremonious dismissal
“I really didn’t know that I was fired, we’ve not had any issues with the club it’s my wife who informed about it that I was trending on social media that I’ve left Mara Sugar,I wasn’t aware about it” said Former Harambee Stars forward Bonface Ambani
Kenya Police Fc also parted ways with Congolese Coach Ishmael Balanga who has been the club’s technical director for just two weeks
